    Hi all

I was wondering whether there are any recent (in the last 3 or so years) review articles about team effectiveness, what makes a team effective? Particularly in public administration, or government organization, but any general articles would be welcome too. Any reviews of what makes an organization effective? Particularly government organizations (in the US) but any reviews on org effectiveness would be helpful.

I've searched through the past year of archives and actually found a couple of good reference (although from 1993), The discipline of teams, Jon Katzenbach and Douglas Smith, and other Katzenback and Smith works.

    Some other works are

Is there a big 5 in teamwork
    http://sgr.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/36/5/555

    and (about organizations)
Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices, by Drucker.

So suppose you wanted to tell an manager in a public organization, research says this is how you can get your teams to be effective, to get work done effectively, or research says this is how you can get your govt organization to be effective. What recent research would you cite?

    Thanks
