    I am wondering if anyone has suggestions on articles focused on consultant dependency.

    I would recommend two resources. The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Institute</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management Consultants USA</st1:placename></st1:place> has a brochure entitled "How to Hire a Management Consultant" which can be downloaded from their website, http://www.imcusa.org/certification/why_hire_a_cmc?/how_to_hire_a_cmc/ and http://www.imcusa.org/H2H_2006_Comm.pdf. From the consultants side, you might want to see the journal, C2M: Consulting to Management, which is available through many online data bases
