Hello all!

I wonder if there are any studies that tested cross-cultural measurement invariance of the LMX-7 scale (Scandura & Graen, 1984), particularly with Chinese samples (in comparison to US samples). Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Yongmei

    Dear Yongmei:

You might try e-mailing George Graen directly to find out if there are any studies of measurement invariance of the LMX-7 scale. He did some work in China, and he or one of his colleagues may have information about the properties of the scale in a sample. You can find his e-mail address in the Academy of Management membership database. -- Gayle

I do not know if these studies will answer your question but they were done in Asia
Wakabayashi & Graen( 1984) The Japanese Career Progress Study: A 7-Year Follow -up. Journal of Applied Psychology . 69,4 603-614
Chen, Lam & Zhong, (2007) LMX and Member Performance: A New Look at Individual -Level Negative Feedback Seeking Behavior and Team-Level Empowerment Climate.
