    Colleagues,

My apologies for cross-posting. The Management and Human Resources (MHR) Department at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, College of Business, is pleased to be recruiting applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the assistant or associate level to teach in the Human Resources Management area.

The UW Oshkosh College of Business is AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate level. We are the UW System's largest evening/online MBA program. Our location in the middle of the Fox River Valley, the fastest growing and most industrially diverse area of the state, is ideal for business education. With a student body of close to 14,000, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is both a major undergraduate campus and a regional graduate center in the statewide University of Wisconsin System. Bounded by lakes, rivers and nearby forested recreational areas, Oshkosh offers ample opportunity for recreation and sports and has received accolades as a great place to live by entities such as Business Week, Forbes, and livability.com. Madison, Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Chicago are all within easy driving distance.

The MHR Department provides a friendly and collegial environment that engages in mutual support and encouragement toward fulfilling our teaching, research, and service goals.  We are committed to helping each other achieve balance in our academic careers, as well as in our personal lives. We offer competitive salary and benefits, as well as research funding through a Faculty Development Program that is unique within the UW System.

The primary teaching responsibilities would be in the area of Human Resources Management for the undergraduate and MBA programs, with some potential for teaching management courses such as organizational behavior, decision-making, and/or leadership. Expertise in employee benefits and/or international HRM would be considered a plus. Faculty members are expected to publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals. Untenured faculty members are expected to participate in service activities for the department and college (e.g., curriculum development). University-level service is expected at higher ranks.

We will be interviewing at the upcoming Academy of Management Meetings. Formal review of applications will begin July 15th and continue until the position is filled.  We encourage interested candidates to send a letter of application, teaching and research philosophy statements, a curriculum vita, and contact information for five references to:
