Does anyone have a suggestion for online surveys, preferably the low-cost or free variety? The free ones I've seen all have very limited numbers of questions. Alternatively, can you recommend any professional online survey services?

    Hi Michael,

I've actually just finished using SurveyMonkey for a research project and found it to be effective for my data collection and reasonably priced.  My sample exceeded 6000 for this piece; I would suggest looking at it.

    Dear Michael

Attached please find two summaries that were generated about a year ago
    on other maillists.

I personally can highly recommend Unipark (http://www.unipark.info/). It has
all the features one could want (plus more) and a very reasonable pricing for
    universities and single scholars (http://www.unipark.info/60-1-licenses.htm)

You may contact their sales person directly: Markus Weiss weiss@globalpark.de

And NO, I do not get any provisions from them for recommening them. I<st1:personname w:st="on">'</st1:personname>ve
been using their tools the last four years and just want to spread the word
that they are WAY better than anything I<st1:personname w:st="on">'</st1:personname>ve seen from SPSS, surveymonkey etc.

    Regards
    Niels

I highly recommend Zoomerang, which my wife, now a marketing prof, but who
started using it in grad school, and I have used for the last couple of
years with great success. Very easy to construct surveys, passable
graphical results that can printed on line, and easy download results into
    Excel.
