Dear Colleagues,
Has anyone used or seen measures of individual differences in communication style that reflect Hall's distinction between low-context, high-context culture? If so, I would be very interested in seeing the scales that you have used, as well as any indicators of their reliability and validity.
Despite an extensive search, I haven't found measures of individual differences in low/high context communication style. All of the articles that I have found on low/high context take for granted that individuals from a given culture or living in a given culture share the communication style (high or low context) of that culture.
I look forward to your comments or suggestions.
Corinne
