    The Institute for Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, is hiring a senior research fellow for a 3 years position. We are looking for a candidate who would like to conduct empirical research within the framework of an international research project on organizational energy in corporations: The "Organizational Energy Program".

    The Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management (I.FPM), University of St. Gallen, Switzerland is seeking a Senior Research Fellow (non-tenure track) for a three-year appointment starting Fall 2007.

    Primary activities: Conducting empirical research within the framework of an international research project on energy in corporations: the "Organizational Energy Program (OEP)." Teaching is not a requirement, yet is possible at undergraduate, master's, and executive education level.

    Qualifications: We invite applicants who 1) show potential for publishing research in top-tier journals, 2) demonstrate excellence in (quantitative) research methods, 3) enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team, and 4) have an earned doctorate in organizational behavior, management, organizational psychology, or related fields at the time of appointment.

    The University of St. Gallen and the I.FPM: The university was established in 1898. Today, it is among Europe's leading business universities. The education it provides has earned international accreditation (EQUIS and AACSB). The university is also well-known for its basic as well as its applied research. It is crucially influenced by its 30 plus institutes of which the I.FPM is one. The I.FPM is primarily devoted to further the fields of leadership, board management, and human resource management.     The Organizational Energy Program: In 2001, the I.FPM initiated the OEP. The OEP involves large scale quantitative and in depth case research in global companies as well as a number of small and medium size companies. Examples of research questions include: What is organizational energy? How does organizational energy develop over time? What are antecedents and consequences of organizational energy? What is the role of leadership for energizing organizations? The team consists of Prof. Bruch and a team of academic researchers from Europe and the United States.
