    Sport Management/Business - Faculty Position (Tenure Track)
     
                College Misericordia is currently accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Sport Management/Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in an undergraduate Sport Management program, teaching in an undergraduate Business program, student advisement, campus committee work, and conducting scholarly research in a Sport Management- and/or Business-related discipline. 

    The successful candidate will have a Doctorate in Sport Management, Business, or a related field. Applicants who are ABD with a confirmed completion date prior to the starting date will also be considered. Applicants must have evidence of teaching experience at the collegiate level.

    Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama.  The Department of Management seeks to fill this tenure-track position in organizational behavior with a start date of August 2015.

    Position Qualifications:  Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in organizational behavior, management, I-O psychology, or business from an accredited institution before the date of employment.

    Candidates' academic concentration and research programs should be in areas directly related to organizational behavior.  A secondary interest in human resource management is expected.

    Applicants must provide evidence of teaching competence (e.g., student evaluations) and research excellence (e.g., publications in high quality academic journals in organizational behavior and related management areas).

    The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment begins and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent communication skills are required.

    Position Responsibilities:  The successful candidate will teach courses in the organizational behavior and human resource management curriculum area at the undergraduate and graduate (MBA, Master's, and Ph.D.) levels.  The specific courses taught and course load are dependent on departmental needs and negotiable with the chair of the Department of Management.

    The faculty member is expected to maintain a consistent publication record in premier scholarly journals, demonstrate teaching competence, and provide some departmental, college, or university service.  In addition, participation in the Organization Studies, Strategy, and Change doctoral program is expected, including research projects with doctoral students, recruiting and mentoring doctoral students, and serving on dissertation committees.

    Assistant Professor HR/OB

     

    The Department of Organizational Leadership and Supervision at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne is seeking candidates for a tenure track assistant professor to teach undergraduate and graduate HR/OB classes and to conduct research.  A doctorate in human resources, organizational behavior, or related field (completed by August 2015) is required. Prior college level teaching experience and relevant work experience are preferred.  Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate potential to teach both HR and OB effectively and to conduct and publish quality research.

     

    Organizational Leadership and Supervision is a multidisciplinary department with a collegial faculty.  Faculty teach a mix of undergraduate and master's level courses, following a three-course load for fall and spring with an option to teach during the summer.  Faculty are supported in research endeavors through conference and grant opportunities.  We are one of 33 departments at IPFW, a vibrant 688 acres campus offering over 200 academic programs to nearly 13,000 students.  As our name indicates, we are a combined campus, representing the two largest universities in Indiana.  Our enrollment is a mix of traditional and non-traditionally aged students, both residential and commuting.  Most of our majors have work experience and many continue to work as they pursue their degree programs.
