    Bruce,

SurveyMonkey is affordable. I've included a link here from the SurveyMonkey
site in which they provide comparisons to several other survey sites, as
    well.

    Good luck! Darin

I recently used SurveyMonday to conduct a pilot survey. Three (out of
30 potential respondents) informed me that the link couldn't direct
them to the survey. Has anyone experienced this before? Does any know
what causes this and how to overcome it? SurveyMonkey says it's
javascript and cookies problems but these respondents still couldn't
get to the survey in another computer (in another location).

Thanks in advance for your input!

    Hi,

I used Survey Monkey for 2 surveys on 300+ respondents a year ago, and none of them experienced problems with the link. I'm not sure why that happened.

I liked it that Survey Monkey allows you to track the responses and gives you an option to send out reminder emails to those who have not completed the survey. However, the tracking option may be a problem if the survey is administered to people who know each other. Survey Monkey sents out unique links to the emails that you have provided. From my experience, some respondents use the link in their coworker's email to access the survey, and thus you get two responses from the same person. The respondent who used the coworker's link to get to the survey eventually gets sent reminders that they have not completed the survey. This could prove somewhat tricky.

    Hope this helps!

    Folks,

Check out the comparable prices and options on OpenPSY.  I have (and my students) used it for about a year and a half w/ no problems, with 1000's of respondents, no problems. It has great branching options, e-mail invitations, reminders, saving, and data exporting options.

    Good luck!

    Hello, Raymond,

If youself linked to the survey website through URL (www.surveymonkey.com/########), and you sent other people the same URL that youself already used to get connected to the survey website, they might not be able to get connected to the survey website, even they use another computer with different IP addresses.

Maybe you can re-type the URL and email other people the new URL. That is, sending other people the completely new URL that yourself have never used to get linked to the survey website.

Hope the above might be helpful.

        Please take care

        Caroline
