    Dear Members,
I am in the process of designing a doctorate level course on 'Theories of Group Behavior' the focus is on groups in organisation.
I wish to cover the theories from different perspectives e.g. evolutionary, conflict power status, the symbolic, the psychodynamic, the functional, the social identity, social network etc.
I request you  to share your course outlines, in case you are teaching courses which relate partly or fully with the Title.
I also request to suggest research based books that can be part of the readings.
Please share your research papers published or non published related to the given topic.
I will compile the responses and send the same to people interested to receive the compiled list.
    Thanking you,

    Hi Tripit,

This is not meant to be an advertisement for my books but I do extensively explore (more so than anyone else I know of in organizational behavior or management in general) group and social network behavior from a very fundamental evolutionary perspective in Unleashing Intellectual Capital (Butterworth-Heinemann, 2000) and Hidden Assets: Harnessing the Power of Informal Networks (Springer, 2005) www.UnManagement.com. Both works, of course, also have extensive bibliographies.

    Best wishes,

    Charlie

    Dear Tripti,

I teach a grad level org psych course & will be using this reading - it provides a nice overview of some contemporary research issues:

Kozlowski, S. W. J., & Ilgen, D. R. (2006). Enhancing the effectiveness of work groups and teams. Psychological Science in the Public Interest, 7, 77-124.
