Has anyone taught a graduate-level course that combines OB and HR? The
course would allow students to better see and understand how the concepts
taught in the traditional OB class are applied in an organization, largely
through HR practices. We are trying to do just that in our MBA program as
we move toward more integration across all of our courses. I would
appreciate any thoughts of suggestions that anyone can offer on such a
    course.

Most introduction to I/O texts would do a lot--though not all--of what you want.

Dear Sonya, when I use to teach OB, I always started off taking about selection, validation and utility analysis as part of understanding the Performance = (f) person, environment. I found this allowed the finance and accounting students to see OB in a new light. This leads right in the War for Talent literature, then back up and explore IDs, motivation, task design, groups and leadership.

Yikes! Thanks to Rainer (an others) for letting me know that the wrong
syllabus was posted under my Executive MBA course! Now going to me web
page, under courses, should get anyone interested to the right syllabus.

    I am so sorry,

    Hi Jone -

Thanks for offering your syllabus to the list. I believe the link to the

EMBA syllabus on your website is actually the same as the one for your
doctoral OB seminar. Can you send the correct link?

    Thanks,
    Rainer
