    Dear Colleagues,

Could anyone kindly refer me to some good, short, supervisor-rated
in-role performance and/or OCB measures? Thanks in advance. I am aware
of the one developed by Williams and Anderson (1991).

    Jinyan,

You may want to review the paper by Podsakoff, et al (1997). Although not
specific to the supervisor it does involve rating the subject by other
    parties.

    Podsakoff, P. M., M. Ahearne and S. B. MacKenzie (1997). "Organizational
citizenship behavior and the quantity and quality of work group
    performance." J Appl Psychol 82(2): 262.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Jinyan,

The following book includes examples of several such measures and a discussion of their relative strengths and weaknesses in relation to the purpose/reason for measuring performance (e.g., administrative, developmental, etc.):

Aguinis, H. (2007). Performance management. Upper Saddle River, NJ: Pearson Prentice Hall.  [for more information, see http://vig.prenhall.com/catalog/academic/product/0,1144,013186615X,00.html]

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    --Herman.

    Dear Jinyan Fan,
You may want to take a look at:
The corporate sense scale from the employability measurement scale.

competence-based and multidimensional operationalization and measurement

Van Dyne and LePine have a good measure of helping, voice, and in-role
    behaviors:

    Hi. Jinyan,
If your sample is from China, you may also consider using the measure
of Chinese OCB developed by Larry Farh and his colleagues.

extraordinary action: A cultural analysis of justice and
organizational citizenship behavior in Chinese society. Administrative

Jinyan: I measured both of these in my dissertation research. I have attached the discussion of these measures. These are also discussed in our article:

Whittington, J. L., Goodwin, V. L. & Murray, B. "Transformational Leadership, Goal Difficulty, and Task Design: Independent and Interactive Effects on Employee Outcomes" The Leadership Quarterly, 15, 5, 593-606, 2004.

Good luck on your work. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
