    Here is some good news in the midst of economic turmoil:

    The Business Program of the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track opening at the Assistant Professor level in Organizational Behavior. This appointment will become effective in September 2009.

     

    A Ph.D. degree in organizational behavior or a related discipline is required.  Candidates near completion will be considered. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and MBA-level courses. The candidate must have an active research program with the potential for publication in leading academic journals. <st1:place><st1:placetype>University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename>Washington</st1:placename></st1:place> faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

     

    Program faculty are devoted teachers and active scholars whose work has been published in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, Management Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, among other leading outlets.

     

    We are located 15 miles northeast of downtown <st1:city><st1:place>Seattle</st1:place></st1:city> in the center of the <st1:place>Pacific Northwest</st1:place>'s exciting high-technology corridor (between Microsoft and Boeing). We work closely with industry leaders as well as the smaller, innovative, and rapidly growing companies in software, electronic commerce, medical equipment, biotechnology, electronics, and aerospace. Our MBA Program focuses on technology-oriented businesses and draws from companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Expedia, T-Mobile, Amgen and Philips.

     

    The <st1:place><st1:placetype>University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename>Washington Bothell</st1:placename></st1:place> was established in 1990 as an upper-division and graduate campus.  Freshmen were admitted for the first time in 2006. We have a new, state of the art high-tech campus. Faculty and students have full access to the computing and library resources of the <st1:place><st1:placetype>University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename>Washington</st1:placename></st1:place> system.

     

    To Apply:  Send a letter describing your qualifications, research interests and teaching philosophy. Include your curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness (if available), and one paper that best represents your research capabilities. Three letters of reference will be required to officially complete the application package. Open until filled, although complete applications received by <st1:date year="2009" day="31" month="3" ls="trans">March 31, 2009</st1:date> will receive priority consideration.
