Position Title: Chair, Department of Organizational Leadership and Marketing &
Aaron L. Levitt Professorship in Human Resource Management
Position Description: The Bloch School invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair, Department of Organizational Leadership and Marketing. The successful candidate, who will hold the Aaron L. Levitt Professorship in Human Resource Management, should have an earned doctorate and a record of achievement in teaching and research to warrant a tenured appointment at the rank of Full Professor. As Department Chair, the Levitt Professor will be responsible for the instructional programs of the department; administrative and budgetary decisions; and providing leadership for faculty including supporting and directing faculty development. We prefer candidates with specialization in human resource management or related fields such as leadership, with interest in change management or organization transformation, or labor and industrial relations. We are seeking a creative individual who will successfully perform both internal and external duties, to include program growth and working with the dean and faculty to develop a coherent sense of direction for the department.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a high energy level and present evidence of an ability to operate effectively in a participative, collegial environment. Candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will be considered; previous administrative or other leadership experience is desirable.
