Thanks to all of you who completed the Job Stress of University Professors online survey. The major job stress of this particular researcher is finding enough professors willing to contribute 30 minutes to the study!

If you haven’t taken the survey, please consider taking it now – it covers many of the areas passionately pursued by researchers in our field – stress, emotions, burnout, emotional labor – and other aspects of our common university reality. I‘m appealing to you as my colleague to consider participating in this survey. If you’ve taken it yourself, please forward this email to colleagues who might be interested in participating.

The survey has been through the IRB process (Loyola University Chicago IRB#73597), and is running parallel to related projects with Chicago public school teachers and developing international replications.

The link (below) will take you to the Informed Consent material, which in turn continues to the survey itself. This voluntary, confidential survey takes about 30 minutes to complete. You may take a break during the survey, save it and return later, if you wish. Please read the information about the care taken in designing this survey to ensure your confidentiality.

Please email me if you'd like a report of the results when the study is completed.

    Many thanks,
    Suzy Fox
