    Colleagues,

    On the disaster response query, there are good resources on trauma and
    recovery in these websites:

    www.trauma-pages.com - Dave Baldwin has pulled together a lot of resources
    here.

    www.traumahealing.com - Peter Levine's research director assisted
    post-Tsunami in mitigating the effects of the disaster ... a team also went
    to Rwanda and New Orleans. There is a rapid treatment model that is
    cross-cultural as it is not reliant primarily on "talking through" the
    reaction.

    I hope this helps and am interested to know what follow up is being done to
    alleviate the posttraumatic stress and long-term effects.
