    Dear colleague,

Hope the new year finds you well. I’m contacting you as part of my research program in the area of job stress. We’ve all been busy studying just about everyone else; it’s time to look at ourselves! This week I’m launching a national online survey of full-time university professors. I’d like to invite you to participate.

The link (below) will take you to the Informed Consent material, which in turn continues to the survey itself. This voluntary, confidential survey takes about 40-50 minutes to complete, and asks about your working conditions and experiences and responses to job stress and bullying. Please read the information about the care taken in designing this survey to ensure your confidentiality. I am inviting participation from departments at several universities and on several listserves simultaneously, so your responses will not be associated with you, your department, or your university.

If you prefer to respond to the survey in written form, please email me to request the survey as a Microsoft Word document and then email back the completed survey. In that case, your responses will not be completely anonymous, but I will immediately download the survey and delete the email in order to preserve your confidentiality.

    Many thanks,
    Suzy Fox
