    Full Professor or Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Organizational Decision Making

    The School of Management and Economics (HEC) of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, has an opening for a full time position in Organizational Decision Making. The position starting date is 1 September 2007 (or at a mutually-agreed date). The full job description is available here:

    The post is quite broadly defined and candidates should demonstrate competence in one or several domains of knowledge germane to organizational decision making including for example, decision processes at the individual or group levels of analysis, power, politics, behavioral control methods, conflict and negotiation, organizational culture and learning, strategic environment, organizational theory (forms), and structure and organizational design from a behavioral perspective.

    Candiates should:
    *Posses a doctorate in management with a specialization in organizational decision making or in a related field (e.g., experimental or behavioral economics, industrial/organizational psychology, or organizational sociology). Candidates who study organizational decision processes--and the ways in which they determine organizational effectiveness--from novel perspectives that go beyond orthodox economic theory (i.e., homo oeconomicus) are strongly encouraged to apply.

    *Have published or have the potential to publish journal articles (in a relevant discipline) in top international journals

    *Be able to teach in a pedagogically effective manner

    *Be fluent in English (written and oral) and be able to teach in French within two years of appointment.

    Note, for the assistant professor, the teaching load is relatively light (4hrs teaching per week). It is 6 hrs teaching per week for the full professor post. Lausanne is in a fantastic location, on the shores of the Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and Switzerland has an unsurpassed quality of life.
