    Dear All

Thank you very much for your feedback. The part that I am struggling with is called 'Reflective Leadership' which is aimed at 'looking inside' and developing individual potential. A more micro, psychology based perspective.

    Any help with that?

    Hi Shandana,

My approach to leadership begins with self leadership and the notion that leadership is about managing energy, first in one's self and then in those around you.  Here's my syllabus if you wish.  The fourth edition of Level Three Leadership with eight new chapters will be out next year.  It's a very inside-out approach-and yet acknowledges that managing one's self is only the beginning.  See the model in Chapter 2 of L3L.

Let me know if you have any questions.  I hope you find it useful.

    Cheers,

       Jim

    Dear Shandana,

I'd check out Consulting psychology journal: Practice & Research.  Particularly Dick Kilburg, he talks a lot about leaders developing their reflective side for growth. That journal will lead you into many aspects of self reflection.

    Hi Shandana,

In my OB MBA course, I use the Leadership and Self Deception: Getting Out of the Box book to encourage students to reflect about their behavior/leadership in the workplace. I attached the assignment handout (based on materials provided by the book's publisher--link is in the document).

    Good luck!
