  • 1.  Estimates on total number of refereed bus/mgt journals

    Dear colleagues,

     

    In our business school, we are recently discussing the relative merits of various journal quality classification systems and the Impact Factor stats derived from the Social Science Citation Index feature prominently in this discussion. I wonder if any of you is aware of an estimate of the percentage that the Business category journals in SSCI comprise out of all published scholarly business journals (say, restricted to refereed journals, broadly defined). In other words, does anyone has a figure for how many business (or even Management) journals are published these days?

    We use Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities, Box 5428, Beaumont, Texas  77726-5428, phone 409-898-0575, fax 409-866-9554, email - - publish@cabells.com.

    Suggest you email, call, or fax them for the number they are currently putting in their volumes.  They have them for the standard functions areas of business plus education.
