    Fellow OB Scholars:

We'd like to invite you to an AOM PDW (Session #168) concerning the Integration of Research into HR Classrooms

    Date, Time and Location:
    Saturday, August 12 2006
    1:00PM - 2:30PM
    Hyatt Regency Atlanta; Singapore Room

    Summary:
One of the sustained challenges in management, and human resource management specifically, is the translation of scholarly knowledge (research) to management practice. We will discuss how this can happen at the undergraduate level. Training undergraduate students to utilize research to inform HR practice will permit a more gradual, but widespread shift in how HR managers think about research in practice.

    Format:
The session will start with brief presentations sharing faculty experiences in integrating research into the classroom including tips for those interested in increasing research integration.  After brief presentations, the participants will break into groups to brainstorm additional techniques for integrating HR research into HR courses.  At the end of the session, the group will get back together to share the ideas.

    Presenters:
    Anthony R. Wheeler; Bradley U.
Chris J. Sablynski; California State U., Sacramento
    Ken Harris; Indiana U. Southeast
Christopher H. Thomas; Northern Illinois U.
    Bonnie S. O'Neill; Marquette U.

We hope to see you there!

    Jonathon
