  • 1.  resources for a course on 'Management Development'

    Posted 10-16-2007 23:27

    Dear Colleagues,

I have been asked to run an undergraduate course on 'Management Development' and am seeking recommendations/suggestions for materials. This paper is at the 300 level (2nd/3rd year undergrad) to be run extramurally (Distance education). Additionally students my not have had exposure to prior learning in the general area of Human Resource Development. I am not entirely happy with the current text (Management Development: Strategies for Action by Mumford and Gold), but have thus far been unable to identify a more suitable text (or set of resources) with which to replace it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    James

    Dear James,

You may wish to look at this text. It is a fun intro to many topics in HR.

Training in Interpersonal Skills, Canadian Ed. By Hunsaker, P. L. &
Dilamarter, D. (2004) published by Pearson Canada.
