    ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR INSTRUCTOR VACANCY

     

    The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Department of Management (http://www.uwlax.edu/ba/mgt/), seeks to fill a tenure-track, position with the primary area in Organizational Behavior and with secondary areas in (1) Human Resource Management and (2) International Business Management, starting August 27, 2007, at the Assistant Professor level.  An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Organizational Behavior or related field is required for those seeking appointment.  ABD's near completion may be considered.  Candidates with a record of successful teaching and publishing research are preferred.  Teaching, research, and both academic and professional experience in the relevant areas are highly desirable, as is a global perspective.  Preference will be given to candidates who can teach undergraduate courses in the following areas:  (1) Organizational Behavior, (2) Emergent Leadership and Team Development, (3) International Human Resource Management, and (4) other management electives, depending upon the person's interests and departmental staffing requirements, as well as MBA courses.  Candidates interested in teaching on-line undergraduate and graduate courses may have the opportunity to do so.  Salary is competitive and based on qualifications and experience.

     

    The College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International–The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and is dedicated to quality teaching, research, and public service.  The College consists of six departments:  Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Information Systems.  The Management Department offers courses in a variety of areas including human resource management, international management, and international business programs.  An interdisciplinary orientation is strongly encouraged.  New faculty are expected to be excellent teachers, active and scholarly researchers, (publishing in refereed journals), good colleagues, and active participants in campus, professional, and local communities.

     

    The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse serves nearly 9,200 students (approximately 18% of whom are enrolled in the College of Business Administration).  The city of La Crosse is in a metropolitan area of approximately 100,000 people on the Mississippi River.  It is two hours drive from Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI.  Further information about the University can be found at www.uwlax.edu/vacancies.
