The School of Labor and Employment Relations at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a full-time open-rank teaching position to start January 2026. This position will be filled at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor.
Responsibilities include teaching courses in human resource management (HRM) at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This position may involve both resident and online instruction, as well as regular university service. Your teaching load during the academic year is six courses. On-site teaching is an essential function of this job. Candidates must have a strong interest and ability to teach some of the following areas: ethics and HRM, research methods and people analytics, and HRM and business fundamentals.
A Ph.D. or higher in human resource management or a related field is required by the appointment date. Rank and length of term are determined by education and qualifications. This is a non-tenure-track position.
The School of Labor and Employment Relations offers undergraduate degrees in Labor and Human Resources and in Organizational Leadership, as well as graduate degrees in Human Resources and Employment Relations, in residence and through Penn State's World Campus. This position will be located at the University Park Campus of Penn State.
