SJDM 2026 submissions are now open, and this year’s meeting will be held in San Diego, CA, November 20-22, 2026.
To encourage and support first-time submissions to the 2026 Society for Judgment and Decision Making conference, the SJDM Outreach and Inclusion Committee is bringing back the “Friendly Feedback for Abstracts” Program during the official conference submission window. We’re calling for experienced researchers to provide light, informal reviews of abstracts, especially from first-time submitters, in advance of the official submission deadline.
Submitters can also request friendly feedback on up to two abstracts before the official submission deadline. Anyone seeking feedback on a talk submission is welcome to participate, but priority will be given to first-time submitters, students, and other junior researchers. Previously rejected submissions are also eligible for review, since many strong abstracts are rejected due to space constraints.
Reviewers will receive no more than 3 abstracts each and will have roughly two weeks to provide feedback. All reviews will be anonymous.
To participate as either a submitter or reviewer, please complete this form by 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Friday, May 22nd.
The full conference submission guidelines are here. Abstracts are limited to 5,500 characters, or about 750 words. Submitters will receive feedback around June 8th, ahead of the conference submission deadline on June 16th.
Please share this invitation with students, first-time submitters, and other junior researchers who may benefit from informal feedback on an abstract.
Sincerely,
On behalf of the SJDM Outreach and Inclusion Committee
