📢 REGISTRATION FOR ACDC 2025 IS LIVE AND OPEN 📢

Hello OB division members! The time is here to register for our FREE Academic Career Development Conference (ACDC) 2025! This year, the conference is hosted by our Academic Career Development Conference (ACDC) Programs Committee and sponsored by the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute (AEI), The EDGE, and the Academy of Management Student Community!

This conference has NO registration fee, and meals are covered all day Saturday. Hotel block rates are less than $150 per night until space runs out! We are also providing an Excel spreadsheet if you want to find a roommate to save on costs. For more information, please scan the QR code for a copy of our registration email with embedded links to the registration survey, agenda draft, and accommodation options. Here's a brief overview of ACDC:

    📌Dates: September 19th - 20th, 2025

    📌Location: The EDGE | 2627 10th Avenue | Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

📌Hosted by the Academic Career Development Conference (ACDC) Programs Committee

📌Sponsored by the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute (AEI), The EDGE, and the Academy of Management Student Community

🌟 ACDC is a rare opportunity for job market doctoral students to present their job talk in front of faculty from around the country, receiving high-quality feedback before presenting the real thing in interviews and flyouts.

🌟 ACDC is a space for junior students to learn what an effective job talk should look like, participate in CV-building workshops and research round tables, and hear from faculty panelists who have been through the (dreaded) market preparation process before.

🌟 ACDC serves EVERYONE (students and faculty!) in making new connections and building camaraderie between schools.

💡 Last year we had over 70 participants from more than 22 schools attending the conference. As part of the organizing team, it was amazing for me to connect with my peers in an easy-going, low-stress environment, which is usually rare to find at major conferences in our field. ACDC is such a special opportunity, and we would love to have you join us in Tuscaloosa this fall!

Please feel free to contact members on our programs committee (Jiani Fan at jfan15@crimson.ua.edu and Majid Rahimi at mrahimi@crimson.ua.edu) if you have any questions, are looking for more information, or are interested in sharing your career experience with the students as a faculty volunteer! We greatly appreciate your help and support!
