We seek to hire a post-doctoral fellow with a background in organizational behavior, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science or related disciplines to collaborate on on-going research projects on human-centered approach to AI and human-AI interaction, to start in Summer/Fall 2024. Successful candidates will work with Christoph Riedl and other faculty at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston. In our previous work, we have explored how the presence of AI agents may affect team communication, how humans can learn from AI, and how AI interventions could increase collective intelligence of groups (for more background see: http://christophriedl.net/ and https://damore-mckim.northeastern.edu/). Broadly speaking, candidates should be excited about exploring questions about how AI can be developed and deployed to serve humanity and augment human intelligence in ways that improve human well-being. We expect candidates to help design and execute studies (online/lab/field), lead data analysis, and write papers. Candidates will be expected to work on a combination of their own research and collaborative projects within the lab. Applications should include proposals of research ideas that fit this theme in their cover letter.
To apply
Please apply via email with the subject "POSTDOC 2024" to Christoph Riedl <c.riedl@northeastern.edu>, including a CV, cover letter outlining interests and experience, and two letters of reference (or names of letter writers we can reach out to). Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position(s) are filled.
