Writing for high-quality academic journals is already challenging. For scholars whose first language is not English, the challenge can feel even steeper. Although AI may help with our writing, it does not eliminate the challenge of becoming an excellent academic writer.

    This raises important questions:

    • How can we write more clearly, precisely, and persuasively in English, meeting the expectations of high-quality academic journals?
    • What challenges do non-native English scholars face during the publication process, and how can we successfully overcome them?
    • How should we approach AI? Should we rely on it to improve our academic writing, or should we first develop our own writing skills?

If these questions resonate with you, we warmly invite you to join our Professional Development Workshop (PDW).

Our panelists will share candid reflections on their own journeys-the challenges they encountered, the strategies that helped them succeed, and the lessons they wish they had learned earlier. The session will also include an interactive Q&A and roundtable discussions, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists.

If you are a non-native English scholar looking to strengthen your academic writing and publishing skills, we would be delighted to have you join us. We look forward to seeing you at AOM!
