Position Announcement at the Institute of Coaching

    Senior Scientist

The Institute of Coaching at McLean, Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital, is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring scientific integrity in the field of coaching. Our mission is to disseminate the best coaching science, foster coaching research, and catalyze positive change in the world.

We are seeking a part-time researcher to join our team. The senior scientist will work closely with the Director of Research to carry out research activities related to our human-centered leadership and coaching (HCLC) research agenda. The HCLC initiative seeks to build on insights from the IOC's Leading with Humanity report as we explore the role of coaching in the turn toward human-centeredness in leadership, healthcare, business, and organizational life. We seek to explore phenomena at the intersection of coaching and leadership in order to better understand what gives rise to sustained wellbeing, generativity, and vitality at multiple levels of human systems, and equip coaches to skillfully intervene. The 4-year HCLC research project is externally funded by a consortium with an initial pledge of $500,000, and more is being raised.
