Meta-analysis on development of narcissism – Call for unpublished data

    Dear colleagues,

Friends of mine are doing a meta-analysis of longitudinal studies on the development of narcissism. Given that narcissism is often studied in the work context, I thought it is worth sharing their call for unpublished data here.

Thanks a million in advance for your help i!

    Kind regards,
    Laurenz

    Dear colleagues,

We are currently conducting a meta-analysis of longitudinal studies on the development of narcissism across the lifespan. We are now seeking unpublished manuscripts, preprints, papers in press, theses, or any other form of gray literature or unpublished longitudinal data.

Our inclusion criteria are that (a) studies must have measured narcissism at least twice and that (b) the time lag between the first and last assessment is at least 6 months.

Specifically, we request the following information (if available):

    •    Means and standard deviations of any measure(s) of narcissism separately for each wave of assessment (i.e., not averaged across waves)
    •    Name of measure/subscale
    •    Test-retest correlations of narcissism between waves of assessment
    •    Time lags between waves of assessment
    •    Sample size at the first assessment
    •    Mean and standard deviation of age at the first assessment

If your data include more than one measure of narcissism (e.g., separate measures and/or subscales measuring facets/dimensions of narcissism), we would greatly appreciate if you sent us the descriptive statistics described above for each of the measures.

If you have any work/data on this topic, please send us your manuscript, paper, report, and/or descriptive statistics by June 20, 2022, via e-mail: samantha.krauss@unibe.ch. If you do provide us with data that we can include in our meta-analysis, your study will of course be cited in our paper.

Also, to make the meta-analysis as exhaustive as possible, we would greatly appreciate any hint to relevant published studies you conducted/are aware of and that we might have missed in our search of the published literature.

In case you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Many thanks in advance for your help!
