Colleagues,
VU Amsterdam will be hosting a free Leadership Quarterly Paper Development Workshop on Wednesday, March 5th, (9am – 1:30pm), to help workshop your papers in preparation for submission to The Leadership Quarterly.
This workshop is open to anyone at any stage of their academic journey.
The workshop will be led by Editor-in-Chief George Banks, and editorial board members Mark van Vugt, Jost Sieweke, and Rafael Wilms.
Part 1 comprises a general introduction to The Leadership Quarterly. Editor-in-Chief George Banks will discuss the direction of the journal, recent developments in the field, the move towards open science, and answer questions on the journal.
Part 2 is focused on supporting and advising researchers, with current work-in-progress, how to develop and refine their papers with submission to The Leadership Quarterly in mind. Those wishing to participate in Part 2 should note the requirements (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1llxN8jwrvQIuMMpgVdXsU9XYpn-eMAkl/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=116329435061535818006&rtpof=true&sd=true) (5-page submission).
Part 1 Workshop Schedule (no preparation required)
9:00-9:30 Arrival and coffee
9:30-10:30 The Leadership Quarterly overview, advice on article writing and Q&A
10:30-10:45 Morning tea and coffee
Part 2 Workshop Schedule (preparation required)
10:30-12:00 Small group discussion of submissions, with individual advice from the
facilitators (3 x 30 minute blocks)
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (provided by VU Amsterdam University, please register your dietary requirements by completing this Google Form by Monday 24th February)
As with paper submissions, let us know by 24 February 2025, if you wish to register without submitting work for Part 2.
There is no registration fee.
