Abstract:
Post-docs are becoming a common and valuable springboard in the academic career path. But for many early career scholars, the path can feel uncertain-How do you choose the right position? What makes a post-doc successful? And how can it position you for your next academic role?
Now in its fourth year, this PDW offers an open and honest conversation about navigating the post-doc experience. You'll hear from a diverse panel of scholars at different career stages who will share real-world insights, practical advice, and lessons learned from their own journeys.
We'll talk about:
-
How to find and evaluate post-doc opportunities
-
What it takes to stay productive and make the most of your time
-
How to set yourself up for the next step in your academic career
Whether you're currently in a post-doc, preparing for one, or mentoring those considering this path-we welcome you to join the conversation. No registration is required, but we encourage you to add the session to your AOM schedule and share this invitation with others who may benefit.
Please reach out to myself (minyoung_lee@kenan-flagler.unc.edu), Dana Harari (hararid@technion.ac.il), or Laura Giurge (l.giurge@lse.ac.uk), with any questions. We hope to see you in Copenhagen!
arm regards,
Min, Dana, & Laura
