Thriving as Educator-Track Faculty in Evolving Business Schools

As universities continue to expand the role of professors of practice and other educator-track faculty, join us for an inclusive forum to connect, share experiences, and explore the evolving expectations of these roles in business education.

    When: Friday, July 31, 2026 | 11:15 AM – 12:45 PM ET
    Session ID: 17916 (PDW Consortium)

    What to expect:
Opening remarks from Michael L. Barnett, Editor-in-Chief of Academy of Management Perspectives (AMP), on non-tenure-track and professional practice faculty, pathways to publishing in practitioner-oriented journals, and how AOM's new Practice-Oriented Scholarship (POS) community can support educator-track faculty.

Followed by roundtable discussions across three key areas:
    - Adapting professional expertise to academic roles
    -  Navigating institutional expectations & career pathways
    - Collaborating across institutions and divisions

Who should attend: Teaching, clinical, lecturer, and non-tenure-track faculty - as well as tenure-track faculty, DBA/PhD students, and practitioners exploring academia.

See the attached flyer for full details. We look forward to seeing you there!
