Please join us on MOnday August 12, 9:45-11:15 am at Swisshotel:  Zurich D.  https://cdmcd.co/AB5xGY

We have a wonderful group of  OB Scholars ready to share their insights into how we can enhance Trust and Credibility of OB Research.

Jerry Davis (University of Michigan) will address how the Web re-shaped the context of publishing in ways that encourage bad behavior by publishers, journals, and scholar (the "algorithmic management of science"), and how GAI implemented within this context is likely to make things even worse.

Max Bazerman (Harvard University) will share his thoughts about how we might reform social science to enhance research credibility, with a particular focus on the role of coauthors to more actively engage with their data.

Larry Williams (Texas Tech University, CARMA) will discuss recent efforts in the research methods community related to questionable research practices, open science, and replication that collectively should enhance research integrity.

Anne Tsui (Arizona State University) will describe the virtual organization Responsible Research for Business and Management (RRBM) and its efforts to promote research that is both rigorous and useful, across disciplines and around the world. In particular, she will address the word "responsible" in as it relates to research integrity. For what are we (social scientists in b schools) responsible for? To whom are we responsible?

Carrie Leana (University of Pittsburgh) will discuss the ethics of conducting research in context. Trust between the researcher and those who are the subject of research is a key ingredient to successful field research, as is humility in understanding the context, particularly when the context is one fraught with conflicting perspectives (i.e., most field research sites).
