    Hi everyone

Instats is excited to offer a free seminar, Incorporating EDI in Research, running Jun 27th and led by Lawrence Mbuagbaw from the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact at McMaster University. This intensive session will show you how to weave equity, diversity, and inclusion into every stage of your research-whether you work with cross-sectional, cohort, case-control, randomized controlled trials, or qualitative and mixed methods designs. Learn which EDI variables to gather, including race, gender, socioeconomic status, and lived experience, and discover how to use these data to sharpen study design, enrich interpretation, and boost knowledge translation. Dr. Mbuagbaw will walk through tools for closing data gaps, navigating ethical complexities, co-designing studies with communities, and applying leading frameworks such as SPIRIT-Equity, CONSORT-Equity, and GBA+. By tailoring these strategies to your own projects, you will enhance methodological rigour and drive more equitable health outcomes.

Sign up today to secure your spot, and feel free to share this opportunity with colleagues and students who want to make their research more inclusive and impactful!

    Best wishes
