    Dearest Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear colleague Howard Weiss, who passed away from a rare form of Leukemia earlier this week. Howard was the quintessential academic and was integral to the development and flourishing of our field. His work throughout the years has shaped the way we see people in the world of work, and he personally made an impression on all who met him. He was a passionate, inspired, and thoughtful person, and his absence will be felt for years to come.

A few of us are organizing to memorialize Howard in various ways, and we were hoping those who knew or were close to Howard could help. Below is a link to a form that will ask you to provide memories and thoughts you may wish to share about Howard. Please also feel free to provide any media (e.g., photos, video, audio) you want to share. The information you provide will be – at the very least – used in our memorialization efforts at GaTech and Purdue, as well as a book we're putting together for his family.

We have truly lost a giant in our field and, for many of us, a dear friend.

    Warm Regards,

    Ruth Kanfer and Chris Wiese
