Conflict Management Division Junior Faculty Consortium

The Conflict Management Division Junior Faculty Consortium is designed for early-career scholars seeking professional development, navigating diverse career paths in academic markets, and expanding their professional networks. The consortium focuses on three key topics essential to launching and sustaining successful academic careers: (1) achieving tenure, (2) developing a research identity, and (3) thriving in academia as a junior scholar.
The session will be led by a distinguished and diverse group of mid-career and senior scholars, each providing a unique perspective on these topics.

This PDW will be divided into three one-hour sessions. Each session will begin with an introduction by the session organizers, followed by panel discussions on two specific topics related to the session's theme. Faculty panelists will share insights drawn from their own careers, including their experiences as junior faculty, transitions within institutions, and lessons learned along their career paths. They will also provide practical advice for supporting junior colleagues.
Each topic will include an open Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly with the panelists and discuss challenges and opportunities relevant to their career stage.
