Are you an associate-level faculty member navigating the mid-career stage? Join us for the Organizational Behavior (OB) Mid-Career Faculty Workshop, an interactive forum designed to support faculty who have earned tenure but have not yet reached full professorship-or the equivalent in non-tenure institutions.
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with an accomplished group of Faculty Fellows and fellow mid-career scholars in small group conversations and panel discussions. Topics will be shaped by participant input and may include:
-
Administrative roles (e.g., leadership paths within institutions)
-
Career enablers (e.g., sabbaticals, joint appointments, transitioning institutions)
-
Sustaining and expanding research (e.g., new collaborations, grants, books)
-
Professional service and engagement (e.g., serving as department chair, directing centers)
-
Planning and preparing for promotion to full professor
Faculty Fellows Include:
-
Anita Woolley (Carnegie Mellon University)
-
Andreas Richter (University of Cambridge)
-
Chris Barnes (University of Washington/National University of Singapore)
-
Cindy Muir (University of Notre Dame)
-
Modupe Akinola (Columbia University)
-
Rebecca Greenbaum (Rutgers University)
-
Taya Cohen (Carnegie Mellon University)
-
Xiao-Ping Chen (University of Washington)
-
Xu Huang (Hong Kong Baptist University)
Participation is limited to 50 attendees to ensure a personalized and impactful experience. Participants must be members of the OB Division of the Academy of Management. Pre-registration is required by July 18, 2025: https://semtsinghuacn.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8BTpNWMo9qUkXA2
