Call for Papers – Special Issue of Human Resource Management Review
Making Theoretical Contributions from Meta-Analytic Reviews
Submission Deadline: May 31, 2026
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for a forthcoming special issue of Human Resource Management Review that focuses on how meta-analytic reviews can be used to advance theory. The special issue welcomes two types of contributions:
- Exemplars using meta-analysis to advance theory. Papers in this track are likely to be meta-analyses of HR topics that advance theory in particular streams of HR research.
- Papers about the advancement of theory through meta-analysis. Papers in this track review or provide guidance for future authors regarding crafting a theoretical contribution. These may include conceptual reviews, methodological critiques, or frameworks that guide researchers in designing meta-analyses for theoretical impact.
