Symposium on
Self-Disclosure in Organizations
Despite the prevalence of self-disclosure in the workplace, research on self-disclosure in organizations remains in the nascent stages. Emerging conceptualizations of self-disclosure include sharing personal information that modifies the relationship dynamics with the recipient (cf. Gibson, 2018; Gibson, Harari, & Marr, 2018), emphasizing outcomes for relationships and characteristics of self-disclosing parties. This symposium will build upon this research to explore self-disclosure in organizations from various theoretical approaches to conceptualization, measurement, and modeling. Research on self-disclosure across organizational levels and cultural contexts is especially welcomed. In doing so, this symposium aims to advance research on self-disclosure in organizations.
We invite you to submit your empirical or theoretical research by 1 December 2022. For more information, please contact Aï Ito ai.ito.ifc@outlook.com or Jennifer Harrison jharrison@em-normandie.fr
We look forward to receiving your submissions.
