    Dear Scholars,

We are organizing a symposium proposal for the 2026 Academy of Management (AOM) Conference, centered on the role of self-regulation constructs in shaping the job search process.

Our focus is on self-regulation and job seekers in various stages of their career. We invite researchers to contribute to this symposium by sharing insights including (but not limited to) the following themes:

    • Self-regulatory mechanisms and adaptive strategies in managing challenges during the job search process
    • Emerging or underexplored emotional regulation constructs influencing the job search process (e.g., ambivalent emotions, emotional calibration, envy, etc.)
    • The self-regulatory consequences of prolonged job searches (e.g., declines in well-being, self-concept, and efficacy)

If this is your research domain, we'd welcome your study to our symposium.

We are looking for two or three more contributors for the proposal. If you are interested in participating, please submit a brief summary of your paper (approximately one page) by Friday, December 12. For more information, feel free to contact Imelda.freddy@unt.edu and hsuh@g.clemson.edu.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and thank you for considering this opportunity!

    Best regards,
