    Call for Abstracts: AOM 2025 Symposium on Linguistic Diversity at Workplace

    Dear Colleagues,

    My team and I invite submissions for a presenter symposium on Linguistic Diversity in the Workplace to be submitted to the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Copenhagen, Denmark, July 25-29, 2025. This symposium seeks to spotlight innovative research on linguistic diversity, with a focus on the influence of non-native and regional accents within professional settings.

    In today's globalized world, workplaces are increasingly enriched by diverse linguistic backgrounds. This symposium will explore the dynamic and complex ways linguistic diversity shapes professional interactions, team dynamics, organizational culture, and performance evaluations. We aim to bring together scholars whose research unveils new perspectives on how linguistic diversity can both challenge and empower organizations, affecting everything from team cohesion and communication to leadership perception, inclusion practices, and performance evaluations of employees with various accents.

    If your research explores any aspect of linguistic diversity in organizational contexts, we would be delighted to consider your work for inclusion. Please submit a 250-500 word abstract to megyadav@iu.edu by November 29, 2024. Selected presenters will be notified by December 8, 2024, and extended abstracts will be due by December 22, 2024.
