Assistant Teaching Professor & Director of Executive Education
Job Description
The NTT Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Executive Education includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and directing the executive programs in the College of Business Administration (CoBA).
75% Responsibilities NTT Teaching:
This position provides the main instructor of the strategy course for both undergraduate and MBA students. Specifically, this position will teach the required strategy courses regularly, often multiple sections per semester. This position is the key instructor for strategy courses critical to management, business, and non-business students.
25% Executive Education:
In addition, this position serves as the Director of Executive Education in CoBA. The primary duties in this role include:
Recruit and coordinate the SHRM Prep, PMP Prep, and other executive education courses. Develop and coordinate efforts aimed at marketing Executive Education offerings.
Lead the leadership development training to managers at Heartland Coca-Cola, manage this partnership, and recruit for the program.
Manage and coordinate the SSM Health for Physician Leadership training program, targeting two cohorts per year.
Partner and support the UMSL Advanced Workforce Center and its programs. Serve all learners with a win-win model for UMSL and CoBA.
Develop new strategies to promote Executive Education offerings to include collaborative efforts with other campus entities
Engage with the business community and establish an active Advisory Board for Executive Education.
Address any Executive Education student, faculty, or contracted company concerns in a timely manner.
Explore fundraising opportunities
Collaborate with marketing to promote the programs in executive training
Manage the finances and funds of executive training
The position will also provide service to the department and the college, including student engagement, community outreach activities, and serving in the College's committees.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Hold a doctoral degree relevant to business.
Proven experience in graduate teaching and industry experience are required.
Great communication skills and attention to detail.
Excellent team player.
Enthusiastic about teaching and student success.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold a doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited university.
