The Department of Management in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 17, 2026.
Position highlights:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree or 'ABD' in HR or equivalent discipline from an AACSB or equivalent accredited university. Appropriate terminal degree completed by July 1, 2026. Persons who are ABD will be hired at the rank of Instructor;
- A primary interest and experience in teaching Human Resource Management courses, and evidence of having taught at least 2 (two) sections of relevant courses;
- Candidates must be research active in Management journals with HR topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful experience teaching human resource courses at an AACSB accredited university;
- A research record demonstrating impact on the field of human resource management or one that demonstrates the potential for impact.
The Management Department employs 17 full-time faculty and offers coursework at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. The Monte Ahuja College of Business is fully AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with approximately 3,000 students across programs including the DBA, MBA, MHRM, and BBA, among others.
