This PDW will feature a panel of current and former Editors from top management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Applied Psychology. This panel will offer insights that will help participants learn how to avoid common pitfalls within the review process, receive advice on how to understand and respond to common requests from the review team, and surface some of the pitfalls and best practices of the process that the Editors want you to know. Next, to bring the experience to life, scholars will get the opportunity to see the Revise and Resubmit process in action as a current journal editor and author of a recently-published paper will present the "life of a paper." Participants will work in small groups at their tables to discuss how they would respond to the comments from the reviewers for each round of the example paper, followed by the author presenting the actual response. This PDW is not designed to help participants tackle any specific issues or comments in current R&Rs, but to help them expand their capabilities to successfully approach any R&R through increased understanding and insight of best practices.
