    Dear Colleagues,

Are you interested in understanding the prevalent workplace phenomenon where workers are often treated as mere instruments or objects, with little regard for their humanity?

We kindly invite you to join us for the presenter symposium (18471): Unmasking Workplace Dehumanization: Emerging Directions and Insights

    Time: Sunday, Jul 27 2025, 5:15PM - 6:45PM CEST (GMT+2/UTC+2)

Location: Bella Center in Hall A- A2-m4

Symposium Summary: This symposium curates research programs that aim to advance theoretical discussions on workplace dehumanization by focusing on the following three interconnected themes: (1) antecedents of workplace dehumanization in the changing landscape of the future of work (e.g., artificial intelligence, social media), (2) novel downstream consequences of dehumanization and the transmitting mechanisms (e.g., workplace wrongdoing, aggression), and (3) extensions of dehumanization phenomenology to theoretically meaningful yet understudied occupational contexts (e.g., online content creation, stunt performance).

    Presentation Outline:

It offers novel theoretical and practical insights into workplace dehumanization that can benefit organizations and individuals alike.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    Best,

    Shiyu & Terrence
