The School of Labor and Employment Relations in the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty appointment to begin January 2023. The appointment will be at either the Teaching Professor rank or as a Professor of Practice. This is a limited-term appointment, funded for five years from the date of hire (standard academic calendar/fall and spring semesters for each year), with a possibility of renewal.

Applicants for this position will be expected to teach courses in human resource management (HRM) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

To be considered for the Teaching Professor rank, applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and demonstrated exceptional ability as a teacher (residential college teaching experience is highly desirable).

To be considered for the Professor of Practice rank, applicants must have accumulated a decade or more of high level and leadership experience in the private or public sectors outside the academy that would provide a unique background and wealth of knowledge that is of particular value as it is shared with the University's students and other faculty.

Candidates for both ranks must have a strong interest and ability to teach some of the following areas: organizational behavior, staffing and training strategies in organizations, research methods, and HRM and business fundamentals.
