    Brief Information about the PDW:
This workshop is for those who are interested in within-person research—both from a theoretical and empirical perspective—regardless of their previous experience in this area. Part 1 (60 minutes) will include a panel discussion from experienced within-person researchers, and this portion will focus on how theory can inform the choice of using a within-person study design. Part 2 (60 minutes) will be a roundtable format, where the panel experts are paired with participants to present best-practices for conducting within-person studies and answer related participant questions. As part of the registration process (see below), participants will be asked to provide any questions that they would like answered during the session. These responses will be used to identify common issues and concerns that will be discussed in the panel and roundtable conversations. The goal of this workshop is to not only advance the use of within-person designs and strengthen the relationship between theory and such designs, but also to further the development of participants of all within-person experience levels and provide them with actionable steps to better utilize within-person studies.
