Position: The Management Department in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for two (2) full-time, tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management (open rank).

Candidates should demonstrate strong research potential and must have completed their Ph.D. or be in the final stages of dissertation work, demonstrate an interest in and a capacity for both conducting high-quality scholarly research and working with doctoral students, as well as a high level of teaching competence. Assistant professors are given minimal service assignments and course preps as well as summer support to allow them to focus on their research programs. Salary and teaching loads are commensurate with a R1 comprehensive research university. Our preference is to hire research active faculty members with a 3:0 teaching load.

Qualifications: By Fall 2023, candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Management or be ABD. Candidates for the position should demonstrate strong research potential, preferably with an established record of top-tier publication activity. We expect faculty members to pursue an active research program, help supervise doctoral students, and perform undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. We have a strong preference for candidates who are pursuing high-impact scholarship and who are able to work well with others in our collegial department.

Application: Applicants need to upload a letter of interest, CV, and contact information for three references.

About our Management Department: The department currently has 15 tenure-track management faculty who consistently publish in premier research journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Applied Psychology as well as many other highly-ranked scholarly outlets. Our department was frequently ranked in the Top 20 in the TAMUGA rankings, ranking 20th in 2017, 12th in 2019 and 15th in 2020, respectively in publications per faculty.

In addition, members of our faculty currently serve as Associate Editors or on editorial boards of leading journals. Senior faculty are committed to mentoring junior faculty. Management faculty teach at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels. The doctoral program is an important component of the department; doctoral students work closely with faculty and successfully publish in top-tier outlets prior to graduation and we have a successful record of high-quality placements for our doctoral graduates.
