Greetings from CARMA! Are you a current AOM Student and Academic member who wants to advance your knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods? I would like to announce that our 2024 CARMA Summer Short Course Plus Program will now be offered live and online the week of June 10-15. You also qualify for a 50% discount on registration fees available through our special 2024 AOM-CARMA Affiliate Membership Program.
Based on this change, we have extended the deadline for Advanced Registration to 11:59 pm, Monday May 20. For complete information about this change, visit our Short Course website. (Information about our program is also provided below.) We are excited to continue our successful tradition of live on-line delivery started after Covid. Since June 2020 CARMA has offered 100 live on-line Short Courses with over 1,600 participants.

Our Short Courses:
Short Courses will be offered live online. Session I will run from June 10-12; Session II is June 13-15. Each session contains multiple courses to choose from and features introductory and advanced topics on quantitative and qualitative methods (see listing below). Courses are designed with a balanced mix of lectures and hands-on experience.
Our instructors are "The Best In Our Business" and are recognized within the organizational studies and management areas as leading methodological scholars. Our instructors include experts who are current or former Editors/Associate Editors for ORM, AMJ, JAP, and OBHDP. They also include several AOM-RMD Distinguished Career and Early Career award winners.
New Short Course Plus Program Features:
CARMA's 2024 Short Course Plus Program adds additional opportunities for those taking courses to advance their knowledge and skills, while networking with instructors and fellow participants. New sessions provided with Short Course registration include:
- Live Online Research Development Workshops:
- Now scheduled for the week of June 17 and combined for both sessions.
- Topics include:
- Design and Analysis
- Interpreting and Reporting Results
- Participant slots are limited and will be allocated based on the date of Short Course registration.
- Requires a 5-page proposal, due by May 20
- Participant groups will be divided into faculty and students.
- Get to Know The Best In Our Business:
- Live Online Group Q&A with your session's Short Course Instructors covering questions on research, publishing, and careers.
- Small group Q&A sessions will be available via break-out rooms.
To Register if you are AOM-CARMA Affiliate Member:
- From the AOM.org website, click on your user account from the profile icon in the upper right corner.
- Click the CARMA logo on the left side of the screen.
- When prompted click the "Access CARMA" button.
- This button will take you to CARMA's Affiliate Program Access page which contains an overview of your 2024 Affiliate Member benefits.
- Click the CARMA User Area
· Select the "Register/Purchase" tab
· Select the "Purchase Short Course" link.
· Select the short course that you want to attend and proceed to checkout.
